![]() ![]() If the directory structure of your music library won’t change during your move, all you need to do is grab the whole directory (including ArtCache/ – that’ll save you some time rebuilding said cache) and move it to the same location on your new computer before launching Swinsian there for the first time. You should be able to find it within ~/Library/Application Support/Swinsian/, right next to a backup of your license key: This doesnt work although some other commands like: get name of playlists, get count of playlists etc do work. something along the lines of: tell application 'Swinsian'. The main problem is that Swinsian won't update songs' playcount and 'last played' data using the info on my iPod. I have to drag files/folders onto the iPod. My device does appear in Swinsian, but it won't automatically sync with the Swinsian library. As luck would have it, Swinsian, the native, fast, minimalist, but fully-featured music player I’ve been using for the last couple of years 2 stores all of its data in a basic SQLite database. In iTunes 12, click the Music button on the horizontal bar (near left side). You create the playlist on the iPod manually, and add songs to it manually. Step 2 Find the music playlist you want to transfer and tap the More button. The context menu helps you add tracks to the play queue, rate the song, retrieve album art, and add your selection to existing playlists. You dont actually add an existing playlist to the iPod. Step 1 Unlock your iPhone or iPod and then open Music app. Having recently taken delivery of a new 1 computer, the question of how to move my library without losing playlists and (questionably) valuable metadata such as play counts presented itself. Looking for another pair of eyes on this. This method can only be used to quickly transfer playlist to another iPhone or iOS device. ![]() In the context of remotely adjusting a Mac’s system volume, I’ve previously outed myself as an approximately-270-year-old who listens to music (MP3 files, no less!) on his computer instead of, say, a smart speaker.
